Dr. Randa Shehab interacting with IE studentsThe School of Industrial Engineering is considered among the best industrial engineering programs in the United States. Our undergraduate program has been accredited nationally by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) since 1966.

Our graduate program is ranked in the top 33 Industrial Enigneering programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Reports.

We offer the only program in human factors engineering and ergonomics in the three-state area of Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. It has an internationally recognized faculty that is active in pioneering the development of industrial engineering through the publication of textbooks and research papers in use throughout the world.

Our flexible undergraduate curriculum is designed to provide students with an outstanding professional educational experience that is practical, modern and progressive.

Our faculty members are internationally recognized as experts in all aspects of industrial engineering and are active in professional research and practice. They hold doctorates from Arizona State, Case Western Reserve, Lehigh, North Carolina State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Purdue, Rensselaer, and Texas Tech. The faculty also possess diverse industrial experience.

Our students have received numerous awards, including the Halliburton and the National Science Foundation Fellowships. Several faculty members have reached the “Fellow” level of professional societies. Our school is recognized throughout the university for its collegiality and friendly atmosphere.
