Biography

Bill Liddell is currently the Manager of ITS Engineering and Operations Systems for Anadarko Petroleum Corporation’s (APC) Information Technology organization.  Bill graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1979 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering.   Upon graduation, he joined Oklahoma Gas and Electric Corporation as a power plant engineer and was based out of the Mustang Plant in Oklahoma City.  He also worked on the start-up of the Sooner Power Plant near Ponca City.   

In 1981, Bill joined Exxon Company USA as a reservoir engineer.  During his tenure with Exxon, he held various technical and managerial positions in reservoir, production/operations and environmental engineering throughout the Mid-continent, East Texas, West Texas, the Rocky Mountains and Alaska.   Bill was the project manager for the first documented bioremediation project in the Alaskan Arctic. He also served as the Quality Continuous Improvement Advisor for Exxon’s Alaska Division’s Management Team.

Bill joined Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in 1996 and has worked in various production, reservoir, business development and project management assignments.  Prior to his move into the ITS organization, Bill was a supervisor over the Engineering Technical Services group where he was responsible for overseeing APC’s real-time Operations Intelligence Center, coordinating the technical work for the Arctic Hydrate Project, and furthering APC’s Exploration and Production data management initiatives.

Bill is a registered professional engineer in both Oklahoma and Texas.  He is married and has three children.
